It all started with a baby, a pile of paper, and a couple of plane tickets.
My husband and I were leaving our 6 month old baby with my parents for our first week-long getaway. I had a pile of lists in front of me – the baby’s packing list, my packing list, my to-do list, and the list of instructions for my parents.
We arrived at their house with an SUV full of supplies and equipment – car seat, stroller, bathtub, diapers, wipes, bottles, clothes, pacifiers, bibs, toys, books, and so many other things. The list of instructions was long – diaper changes, feeding times, bottle amounts, nap times, bed times, sleep routines, and more.
I realized that I kept writing the same lists and instructions over and over again. Every time we went on vacation or a weekend trip I made packing lists and to-do lists. Whenever we had a sitter I wrote out emergency contact information and instructions. It was frustrating and such a waste of precious time. I thought there had to be a better way.
Then I started using a smart phone and I discovered mobile apps. I found apps to help me with most of the tasks for my daily life, but I couldn’t find an app to help me plan for date night or travel. So I decided to use my software product management background to build one. And that’s how Little Peanut on the Go was born.
